Idle is the artist name of Boston, MA based artist and producer Ari Bose. Bose blends pop sensibilities with his rock and alternative influences to create a unique but accessible sound all his own.
Bose began his musical experience playing drums in rock bands in Charlotte, NC at the age of 14. Bose spent the next several years developing himself as a drummer, musician, and eventually producer. Before the age of 18, Bose had toured in bands all along the east coast, had played in several acclaimed festivals such as the Vans Warped Tour and Charlotte Pride Festival, and been featured on numerous studio recordings as both a drummer and songwriter. Bose would find his beginnings as a producer writing electronic production into rock music and would go on to develop himself further and further with his newfound interest in pop and electronic music.
By the time Bose was 19, he found himself studying classical guitar at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he would begin to study music from a classical perspective. At the age of 21, Bose decided that it was time for a change of scenery and left his home in North Carolina in order to study music production at the acclaimed Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts.
“Chasing Games” is Bose’s first single under the stage name Idle. Written in the summer of 2018, “Chasing Games” deals with loss, coming to terms with the end of a relationship, and his resulting journey of introspection that would follow.
With easily digestible, catchy hooks and melodies coupled with reflective, honest lyricism, Bose hopes to make you feel something.
